Keshia Chanté, 27, is one of Canada’s most versatile artists in entertainment. The singer, songwriter, actress, model, and philanthropist, is known worldwide as a budding television personality due to her move to the Big Apple for the coveted “106 & Park” host role on BET (Black Entertainment Televeision) alongside veteran rapper and actor Bow Wow (Shad Moss) in August 2013. Keshia has conducted interviewes with the likes of Michelle Obama, Mark Wahlberg, Robert Dinero, Mariah Carey, Denzel Washington, etc,. to name a few.

Ottawa born, Toronto raised, Keshia is proud of her multiethnic background of Trinidadian, Puerto Rican and Portuguese decent, and is no stranger to “standing out”. Keshia was first signed to a major label at the age of 14 and with over a decade in the entertainment industry has three albums to show for it. Keshia has received numerous accolades and awards consisting of a Juno Award for “R&B/Soul Recording of the Year”, Gold record for her debut release, 8 top ten radio singles, 5 Urban Music Awards, 1 Canadian Radio Award for “Best New Solo Artist”, and debuted #1 on Billboard charts in Japan in 2012. Keshia’s beautiful voice was heard by millions as she performed at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver as well as being the opening act for megastars such as Destiny’s Child, Alicia Keys and Kanye West. She has continued to make her mark by holding her own on stage and in the studio with collaborations with artists such as Drake and Ne-Yo as well as making her U.S. music video debut in Bow Wow & Chris Brown’s Billboard hit “Shortie Like Mine.”
